Joshua Wilson serves as VP of Operations and Planning at Longsight, Inc., where his priorities include client relationship management, project management, and participation in the strategic development of Longsight, its products, and the Sakai community as a whole.
Josh has been a leader in academic technology for more than a decade. Most recently, he served as Associate CIO for Academic Technology at Brandeis University, where his team provided a diverse array of community-facing services including academic and media technology as well as computer help, management, and engineering. Josh directed the client-centered renewal of Brandeis’ open source LMS, a strategic component of the university’s academic technology environment. He also established the Brandeis MakerLab, a center for innovation in emerging technologies for teaching and learning and winner of multiple prestigious awards at World Maker Faire.
He previously served at Brandeis as Associate Director for Planning and Assessment in the Office of the CIO, managed an array of IT training programs and technology implementation projects at Tufts University, and worked in library technology at Bowdoin College.
Josh has been active for many years in leadership communities within the Boston Consortium for Higher Education, including service since 2008 as a leadership coach. He attended Yale University, where he earned a BA with distinction. He is an experienced instructor and facilitator.
