Critical first steps

- Obtain Institutional Review Board approval (due December 18, 2009)
Planning for the survey

- Decide upon customized, optional, demographic, & local questions (due December 4, 2009)
- Decide whether to survey special campus populations (due December 4, 2009)
- Inform your MISO Survey Team liaison about the start date for your Spring semester (due December 4, 2009)
- Draft campus messages (due January 4, 2010)
Technical preparations

- Submit email lists (due the first Friday of your institution’s Spring semester)
- Complete spam preparations (due during the third week of your institution’s Spring semester)
During the survey

- Count dead email addresses (due March 5, 2010)
After the survey

- Complete institutional data form (due March 31, 2010)
- Provide feedback about survey instrument and administration process (due Spring 2010)
- Review, share, and use the Survey results (beginning in Spring 2010)
