Decide Which Campus Populations to Survey
Standard populations
Participating institutions may choose to survey one or more of the following populations:
Active teaching and research faculty (full and part-time)
Enrolled full-time undergraduate students (only individuals age 18 and older)
Full and part-time staff (excluding library and IT staff)
Populations will be sampled based on the size of the population (see sampling guidelines here).
Special populations
Your institution may also opt to survey additional campus populations, such as graduate students, participants in adult education programs, or members of some other group that is unique to your institution. (Please see the Information Sharing Agreement for the fee schedule associated with additional populations.) Data gathered from these respondents will be provided to your institution but not included in the overall report of MISO Survey findings. Once you’ve decided which populations you plan to survey, send an email to the MISO Survey Operations Manager (survey at misosurvey.org) with this information.
